How Spinow earns trust.

Our process is designed to make gambling information understandable, checkable, and useful without presenting risk as certainty.

Purpose and audience

Spinow publishes educational explanations for adults who want to understand gambling products before participating. We focus on mechanics, probability, pricing, expected cost, uncertainty, and safeguards. Content is general information, not financial, medical, or legal advice.

Our source hierarchy

We prefer primary and authoritative material: legislation and regulator guidance for rules and technical standards; public-health services for harm and treatment information; and established specialist support organisations for practical self-help tools. When a claim depends on a source, the relevant article links directly to it.

Product terms can differ between operators, versions, and countries. A guide identifies that limitation instead of assuming one rule applies everywhere.

Calculations and uncertainty

Important calculations are shown with their inputs so a reader can repeat them. Examples use round numbers to explain a method; they are not forecasts. Expected value, house edge, implied probability, and return to player describe mathematical relationships or long-run averages, not a guaranteed session result.

Safety and commercial independence

Educational accuracy and harm reduction come before promotional language. The current Spinow knowledge site does not take deposits, provide games, rank operators, or publish affiliate offers. We do not describe betting systems as capable of changing independent probabilities.

Translation policy

German, Italian, Polish, and Norwegian pages are full-language editions of the same educational framework. We localise wording and examples for readability while preserving the mathematical meaning and safety message. They do not replace jurisdiction-specific regulator or support information.

Review, correction, and accountability

Guides display a review date. We revisit pages when reliable sources change, when a calculation needs clarification, or when a topic has materially evolved. Corrections are made on the live page, and substantial revisions update the review date.

Content is published under the Spinow Editorial byline so readers can see who is responsible for the site-wide standard. Readers should consult local services immediately if gambling is causing financial, emotional, or relationship harm.

What readers should expect

Clear definitions, reproducible examples, visible sources, honest limits, and no promise that knowledge can eliminate gambling risk.
